[. . . ] The PHASE 26 USB System generally can be operated from the USB port without the need for a power adapter. You should ensure, however, that the port you wish to use can provide the maximal USB 1 power of 500 mA. Normally, all computer USB interfaces and hubs that provide their own power provide 500 mA. If necessary, check the technical specifications of your computer or hub to make sure. Hubs that are themselves supplied with power by the bus cable provide a maximum of 100 mA per port, and therefore are not suitable for supplying power to the PHASE 26 USB System (such as, for example, the USB port on a Macintosh keyboard).
