If the mains socket are not compatible or if for any reason the plug is removed please follow the directions below. The moulded plug cannot be rewired and if removed must be disposed of safely. Press ADJUST (or Adj Alarm on the remote control) to confirm settings. · Timer will be activated automatically after settings are finished. Note: Sleep is automatically deactivated when the unit is turned off. Top View OPEN ­ Press to open the CD compartment door. ALARM - Press once to check alarm time, press and hold to switch on or off alarm function. DISPLAY - Press once to select analogue or digital clock display. Press and hold to activate or deactivate dimmer function. Press and hold to change display background colours. 10cm Special Features Preset Equalizer Curves Press Preset EQ on the remote control to toggle among FLAT, JAZZ, ROCK, POP and CLASSICAL. The selection is highlighted on the display. Installing Batteries The remote control must be inserted with 2 "AAA" or "LR03" batteries prior use. Changing Display Brightness Press and hold DISPLAY on the top of the unit to change the brightness level of the display. Side view 10cm AC & DC Power Input Make sure you have connected all cables before plug in. For AC power, connect the power plug to an AC power outlet (230V~50Hz). Setting Timer 1. Press ALARM and ADJUST together (or Adj Alarm on the remote control) to enter timer setting mode. Timer on time shows with hour digits flashing on the display. Press or to set the hour. Changing Display Colors Press and hold ADJUST on the top of the unit to change the display colors. 5cm You can also power the unit with a 12V DC adapter (not included). Connect the adapter to the input jack at the back of the unit. Note: DC power input will be disconnected whenever AC power is connected. Do not connect both DC and AC power at the same time. X-Bass Press X-Bass on the remote control to turn on/ off the x-bass feature. The X-Bass icon is displayed. Quick Start Refer to the following for basic playback and radio listening. For detailed operations and more advanced features, please refer to relevant sections. CD Playback Listening to Radio 1. Press BAND (or Band·APP on the remote control) to select radio band. Press or to tune down or up radio frequency. Insert up a disc with the label facing up. · Wait while the unit reads and counts the total number of songs on the disc. · If the CD compartment is not loaded with a CD or the CD is unreadable, "disc" flashes on the display. No sound Cleaning CDs Dirty CDs can cause poor sound quality. Always keep CDs clean by wiping them gently with a soft cloth from the inner edge toward the outer perimeter. · · · Suppressing Stereo Signal Press Stereo on the remote control to switch between FM mono and stereo for FM broadcast.
