Disposal of the packaging The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable. The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations. NOTICE ► If possible, preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appliance ideally for its return. –º Always and only use freshly drawn mains water in the kettle!Do not consume any water that is not certified as potable. If you do, you are taking a risk with your health!There is a risk of receiving severe scalds. –º First remove the plug from the mains power socket before you lift the carafe from the base 3. This avoids the risk that any water splashing out could come into contact with live electrical connections in the base 3, which could cause a short circuit. INFORMATION ► This appliance is fitted with an overheating protector: if the appliance is switched on accidentally, without any water in the kettle, the appliance automatically switches itself off. If, for example due to a non-closed lid the appliance boils dry, the appliance switches off automatically. In such cases first allow the appliance to cool down before using it again. –º Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket!There is the risk of receiving an electric shock!–º Do not open any part of the housing. NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids!This would increase the risk of a potentially fatal electric shock should liquids come into contact with powered components.
