About the TV Guide On Screen menu screens
The menu screens in the TV Guide On Screen system contain some or all of the following elements, depending on which menu is active: · Menu Bar (LISTINGS, SORT, PROMOTIONS, SETUP, MESSAGES, and SCHEDULE) · Video Window with lock icon · Program and/or channel listings · Panel ads · Blue and Green ACTION buttons · INFO button

The channels, programs, and TV Guide On Screen information as illustrated may not be available in your area. The options and features as illustrated are subject to change when updates are downloaded from the TV Guide On Screen service to your TV. · The TV Guide On Screen system displays program listings for the TV's ANT 1 and VIDEO 1 input sources only. (See Chapter 2: Connecting your TV for connection details. ) · The TV Guide On Screen system does not display program listings for satellite TV systems.

Navigating the TV Guide On Screen system
To open the TV Guide On Screen system: Using the remote control: Press GUIDE. Using the menus: Press MENU, open the APPLICATIONS menu, highlight TV GUIDE ON SCREEN, and then press ENTER. · Use the · x arrow buttons to browse right and left through the listings one halfhour at a time. · Use the BLUE button to browse right and the GREEN button to browse left through the listings 24 hours at a time. (The LISTINGS Menu Bar must be highlighted for this to work properly. )

When the icon is displayed, you can press the INFO button on the remote control to display detailed information specific to the item you have selected. · When the LISTINGS menu is open and a listing is selected, repeatedly press INFO on the remote control to toggle through three sizes of INFO windows (illustrated at right). · The detail and expanded detail INFO windows display information about the selected program and/or channel, including the channel number and station call letters, program start time, elapsed time bar, and various feature icons (for example, a headphones icon if the program is in stereo, or "CC" if the program is closedcaptioned).

Direct tuning
To directly tune the TV to a program: In the LISTINGS menu, select a program or a broadcast-related panel ad or channel ad, and press ENTER. The TV tunes itself to the selected program and the TV Guide On Screen system closes.
· If you highlight a program in a future time slot, or a panel ad or channel ad for a future program, the TV will tune to the current program on the related channel. · You can directly tune programs from other menus as well, including the SORT and SCHEDULE menus.
To view a list of programs you set as favorites, to cancel a favorite, or to change the frequency of a favorite: 1. Press MENU and select the SCHEDULE menu. A list of the programs you set as favorites will display. You can then either cancel a favorite or change its frequency.
Note: You also can cancel favorites in the LISTINGS menu.
One-touch and VCR Plus+ recording
