Selecting the HDMI audio input source/ Selecting the audio languages
See page 16 for details on connecting an HDMI or a DVI device to the TV's HDMI input. If you connect a DVI device, you must also connect the analog audio cables to the HDMI audio IN jacks to hear audio (see page 16. ) Set the HDMI audio input setting to "DVI" with this connection. If you connect an HDMI device and play media with digital audio output, set the HDMI audio input setting to "HDMI" with this connection to hear digital audio. If you connect an HDMI device but play media with analog audio output (for example, certain CDVs do not output digital audio), you must connect the analog audio cables to the HDMI audio IN jacks to hear audio (see page 16. ) Set the HDMI audio input setting to "DVI" with this connection.

Use this feature to select the digital audio output format when you connect a Dolby Digital decoder or other digital audio system to the coaxial digital audio output on the TV.

Checking the digital signal strength
You can check the strength of the digital signal by viewing the digital signal meter.
Press MENU in the TV mode, then press or to select TV SETUP menu. Press or to select "SIGNAL METER", then press .

Notes: Signal meter feature is not available for analog channels. After approximately 4 minutes, SIGNAL METER screen will return to normal TV-operation automatically. When you select a vacant channel, the signal meter may react.

Loading and unloading a cassette tape
Use only video cassette tapes marked .
Loading
Push the center of the tape until it is automatically inserted. Insert the cassette tape with its labeled side facing up and the erase prevention tab positioned at your left. An inverted cassette tape cannot be inserted.
Erase prevention tab Automatic power ON When you insert a cassette tape, the unit power will turn ON automatically. Automatic playback When loading a cassette tape without an erase prevention tab, playback will start automatically.

Remove the cassette tape.

Automatic tape eject This unit will automatically rewind the tape when the tape has ended. And when the tape is rewinded to its beginning, the cassette tape will be ejected automatically. Notes: Always eject the tape when not in use. The cassette tape can be ejected even if the POWER is "OFF".
