[. . . ] You can charge the main battery or the high capacity battery using either your computer or an optional battery charger. To charge the high capacity battery, the main battery must be fully charged. Charging the main battery To charge the main battery while it is in your computer, use the AC adapter to connect the computer to a live wall outlet. With the computer off, recharging the main battery takes up to six hours. The main battery takes much longer to charge when the computer is on and should be done using the AC adapter. The main battery light: Glows amber while the main battery is being charged. Glows green when the main battery is fully charged. The main battery is extremely hot or cold. To ensure that the main battery charges to its full capacity, wait until it reaches room temperature. The main battery is almost completely discharged. Leave the power connected and the main battery should begin charging after a few minutes. HINT: Once the main battery is fully charged, we recommend you operate your computer on battery power until the main battery discharges completely.
