High-definition displays up to UXGA 1600 x 1200. 1 2 UNPACKING AND SETUP DVI (Male) to VGA (Female) Adapter This adapter will convert your DVI port to a classic VGA port allowing you to connect your VGA monitor to the TU2-DVIV's DVI port. This chapter provides unpacking and setup information for the TU2-DVIV USB 2. 0 to DVI / VGA Adapter. Unpacking Open the shipping carton of the TU2-DVIV and carefully unpack its contents. The carton should contain the following items: USB Cable USB 2. 0 Cable, mini USB Connector. Connects to the computer and the TU2-DVIV. CD Rom The CD contains the driver and utility for the TU2-DVIV If any item is found missing or damaged, please contact your local reseller for replacement. DVI to VGA Adapter USB Cable The USB to DVI-I/VGA Display Adapter CD Rom The USB to DVI-I/VGA Adapter The TU2-DVIV adapter allows you to connect monitors to your computer using a USB connection. 3 4 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION This chapter describes the software installation procedure of the TU2-DVIV. Windows Vista Install 1. Insert the CD-ROM in your PC and if ask for permission to run the CD, click Yes to continue then the Autorun wizard will appear. 5. Wait a few moments for the process to complete. 6. Click on Install Utility & Driver button to install the control software to your PC When prompt for permission to continue. After reading the License Agreement click I Accept to continue. 7. When the process is finished click Yes to reboot. Plug in the TU2-DVIV and a message will display on your PC as shown. 5 6 Windows 2000/XP Install 1. Insert the CD-ROM in your PC and the Autorun wizard will appear. 5. Wait a few moments for the process to complete. 2. 4. Click on Install Utility & Driver button to install the control software to your PC When prompt for permission to continue. After reading the License Agreement click I Accept to continue. The installation will start. 6. Plug in the TU2-DVIV and the system will found a new hardware of the TU2-DVIV. 7 8 HARDWARE INSTALLATION See the following illustrations for instructions on how to install your TU2-DVIV USB 2. 0 to DVI / VGA Display Adapter. Connecting toVGA monitor Connect the VGA monitor with the DVI to VGA adapter then to the USB to DVI-I/VGA Display Adapter as shown. Connecting the Adapter Connecting to DVI monitor Connect the DVI monitor with the USB to DVI-I/VGA Display Adapter as shown. Connecting to USB port Connect the USB cable and the USB to DVI/VGA Display Adapter as shown. 9 10 Connecting the Monitors TU2-DVIV supports up to 6 display connections to a single PC. See the following illustrations for sample setups. Connecting 2 monitors PC connects to two monitors via USB cables using TU2-DVIV adapters.
