Some Trimble software products that were released prior to the Windows Vista operating system release have not been fully tested for compatibility on the Windows Vista operating system. Notes for compatible products
Trimble Survey Controller software, version 12. 10 and version 11. 40 installations
This section documents issues that were observed during installation testing with Survey Controller (Valid for version 12. 10 and 11. 40) on the Windows Vista operating system:
1. Windows Mobile Device Center
The Install Wizard refers to Microsoft® ActiveSync® technology. On as system running the Windows Vista operating system, ActiveSync has been replaced with the Windows Mobile Device Center. The Windows Mobile Device Center consists of a driver and an application: · · The Trimble Survey Controller install wizard uses the driver. The driver is included with Windows Vista and you do not need to install it. The application can be downloaded and installed separately, but is not required by the Trimble Survey Controller install wizard. Activating the WMDC driver
When you use a USB cable to connect your TCU or TSC2 controller to your office computer that is running the Windows Vista operating system, into your Vista PC, the Windows Mobile Device Center device driver is installed automatically:

this device has been successfully installed appears. The Windows Mobile device is now ready to use:

Trimble recommends that you connect the TCU or TSC2 controller to a computer running the Windows Vista operating system before you start the Trimble Survey Controller install wizard. [. . . ] Trimble CU and TSC2 operating systems
The Trimble CU and the TSC2 operating systems are not compatible with the Windows Vista operating system, even though they are included in the Trimble Survey Controller installation procedures on www. trimble. com.
Trimble Business Center software version 1. 11
Trimble Business Center software version 1. 11 is compatible with the Windows Vista operating system on a computer with 32-bit processors. It is not compatible with the 64-bit Windows Vista operating system.
Winflash and GPS Configurator software
Both Winflash and the GPS Configurator software must be installed from the version 3. 30 receiver CD.
