This unit is different from conventional cordless telephones. When the base unit is connected to AC power and a telephone line, it can support up to 4 handsets. Deleting an outgoing message To delete the personal outgoing message, press system announces "Greeting has been deleted". The Setting the base ringer volume · If an outside call is received during the operation, the operation is canceled. · If you press ringer/vol L in the maximum volume level (3) or ringer/vol M in the ringer off (0), you will hear a beep. You have four ringer volume options. One allows you to turn the base ringer off. 1) When the phone is in the standby mode, press ringer/vol L or M. Press ringer/vol L for louder or ringer/vol M for softer. The numbers 1-10 appear on the base indicating the volume levels. 1 being the softest and 10 being the loudest. Using the menu mode The Menu mode allows you to set the following Answering System functions. · To scroll through the menu options, repeatedly press CLOCK/MENU on the base in the standby mode. CLOCK/MENU The system returns to standby after the last menu CLOCK/MENU option. A confirmation tone sounds to indicate the standby mode. CLOCK/MENU · If you press , the operation is canceled. · If the system remains idle for about 5 seconds after CLOCK/MENU the announcement, the system returns to standby. Once /SELECT or /SELECT is pressed, the idle CLOCK/MENU time is extended to 10 seconds. · If there is an incoming call, the operation is canceled. CLOCK/MENU · When you have completed the setting, press to exit the menu mode, or CLOCK/MENU to move to the CLOCK/MENU next menu option. · You can also set these menus from the handset.
