If any of these items are missing or damaged, contact the Uniden Parts Department. · Base Unit · Handset(s) · AC Adapter(s) · Rechargeable Battery Pack(s) · Telephone Cord · Belt Clip(s) · Owner's Manual · Other Printed Materials Step 2 Install and Charge the Handset Battery TO INSTALL THE HANDSET BATTERY (see page 12 for details) Charge the handset battery pack for at least 15-20 hours before using your new cordless telephone for the first time!Use only the Uniden rechargeable battery pack supplied with your new phone. [. . . ] When the phone is in standby mode, press and hold a number key (0-9) associated with the speed dial until the phone number appears, then press talk/flash or speaker. The number stored in speed dial (SPD1 - SPD0) is dialed. (This includes some international calls. ) ·When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear. CALLER ID You must subscribe to Caller ID services through your local telephone provider to use these features. When the telephone rings, the Caller ID feature allows you to view the caller's name, and phone number along with the date and time of call. With CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting), you will hear a call waiting tone while you are on a call, and the Caller ID data is displayed. To accept the waiting call, press talk/flash (see page 34). Additionally, you can dial a number stored in the Caller ID list or save data to your Phonebook locations. Important: Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook locations (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to 100 in total. A Caller ID message is not stored when you have stored 100 of the phonebook locations. The earliest Caller ID message is overwritten when you have stored 100 of the phonebook locations and Caller ID messages in total. The date and time received Caller's name Caller's phone number 1) When the Caller ID message is received, the display shows the caller's phone number along with the date and time. The incoming call information is stored in the Caller ID record.
