CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting) performs the same as regular Caller ID on a Call Waiting number. You must subscribe to the "Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW) services" before you can use the following features. The "Call Waiting" service can also be used independently. Please contact your local telephone company for details. 1 When a new incoming call arrives during your current telephone call, the phone number and the name of the caller are displayed. The first caller will be placed on hold. To return to the original caller, press again. Your TRU 348 gives you new options for call waiting. At the touch of a button, you can ask the caller to hold or conference them into your current call. You may be required to subscribe to call waiting and call waiting options to use these features. Not all features are available in all areas. Check with your local telephone company for details. If these noises continue and are too distracting, please check around your home to see what appliances may be causing the problem. In addition, we recommend that the base not be plugged into a circuit that also powers a major appliance because of the potential for interference.
