Listening to a CD/MP3 CD·C menu . [. . . ] Select one of the following submenus. Audio settings Select "Audio" in the setup menu. The "AUDIO" setup menu appears. The following functions are available: s Traffic info Activating/ deactivating the traffic announcements and setting the volume for the announcements. 40: Minimum volume for transmitting traffic announcements. s News Activating/ deactivating the news function and setting the volume for the news. 40: Minimum volume for transmitting news. s CD text Activating/ deactivating CD text display in the lower screen section. Settings: ON: Displaying the CD text information for the audio CD inserted (if the CD supports this function). s MP3 text Activating/ deactivating text display with MP3 playback. The text appears in the bottom line of the screen. Settings: DIRECTORY - FILE: Displaying directory and file names for the current MP3 file. ID3 TAGS: Displaying the ID3 tag information for the current MP3 file. OFF: No information on the current MP3 file is displayed. s ID3 tags Selecting the information for displaying ID3 tags with MP3 playback. The following information from the ID3 tag can be displayed: Song title, artist, album, year, comment, album track, genre. Settings: ON or OFF Set the ^ mark for each type of information to ON or OFF. In order to be able to use the ID3 tag display the MP3 files may first have to be edited using a suitable ID3 tag editor (PC, Mac). 44 Setup s Compass Activating/ deactivating the compass display on the screen. Settings: ON: Displaying the compass needle (north) in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. s AF retuning Setting the RDS AF function. Settings: ON: Automatic retuning to alternative frequencies for the same station. OFF: No automatic retuning to alternative frequencies. The radio keeps to the receiving frequency set. In conjunction with the regional function the radio can switch to a different regional programme from the same station for a certain period of time. [. . . ] · Ensure that the GPS antenna is not covered by any objects. · Move the vehicle outdoors if you are in a garage, a car park or a tunnel. · Check the fuse (unit and vehicle) and the connections (see installation instructions).
