General Instructions
Safety Advice and Important Information
Before you start to mount and use this navigation system, please familiarise yourself with its various components and functions. Furthermore, please read through the safety instructions carefully to avoid causing injury to yourself and/or other road users. [. . . ] To import an address book from SD-card, go to the Main Menu > Settings > Address book and press the Import (Replace) button. When an exported address book is available on the SD-card, it will replace the existing address book in the PND. The PND will ask for confirmation before replacing the existing address book. * "Secure Digital card" and the "Secure Digital logo" are legal trademarks of the SD card association.
Sound
Choose this option if you want to change sound settings (e. g. mute, set volume or set button click).
Change route
You can change your route by planning Short, Medium or Long Route diversions. If using TMC, you can also refresh your route or allow the system to take traffic information into consideration.
Simulation
In this menu it is possible to simulate your route. For example set start location and the navigation system can simulate driving to your desired destination and back.
TMC (Traffic Message Channel)
During navigation the system regularly accesses the latest TMC traffic information in the background; provided that this information is available in the part of the country you are in.
Alert points
Alert points can give visible and audible notifications.

Position & speed
In this menu you can change the current position.

Select map
This opens a selection screen where you can choose from the installed maps.
System ID
Tap this option to show product and Map database versions.
Factory defaults
In this menu you can tap Clear addresses if you want to erase all addresses in the Address book. If you want to reset your system tap Factory defaults. What you select here can be changed at any time. Updates can change the structure of the menu.
Users
Personalization gives the users of the PND the possibility to select own personal settings and information. The following items can be personalized in the PND (amongst others): · Recent destinations · Menu colour · Map colour · Map display options · Brightness settings · Menu language · Voice language · Volume levels · Route criteria · Simulation mode settings · Time zone and daylight saving option · Visual and audible alert point options When no users have been configured before, the system will store the settings at a default location in the system. As soon as the first account is created, settings are copied to this new user account. User Screen The Users screen allows you to switch between the users and to create, delete, backup and restore user accounts. Switch between the available users When switching, the settings and information (like the menu colour and the voice language) related to the user account will be applied. Create a new user Enter the user name in the typewriter screen and tap OK. Each time a new user account is created, this new account gets the settings of the currently selected account as initial settings.

Delete a user Select the user you want to delete from the list of users. You cannot delete the currently active account. Make a backup Make a backup of the address book and settings of the currently active user to the inserted SD-card*. Restore the backup Restore the backup of the address book and settings of the currently active user from the inserted SD-card. Restoring a backup is only possible when a backup of the currently active user is available on the inserted SD-card. Show the user selection screen at system startup This function is very handy if the PND is often used by two or more users.
Route criteria
This item indicates which route criteria are currently active. To select this item, tap on one of the status bar labels at the bottom of the screen and select Route criteria from the list. [. . . ] Always keep the navigation system positioned vertically.
