The software uses a task list with pre-defined intervals, specifying when downloading is to take place. You can also use the RTM to create further download tasks. If the DLD® Short Range is within the WLAN transmission and reception area, it uses the task list in the RTM to check whether or not a download has to be carried out for either driver or vehicle. i This is how the DLD ® Short Range data transfer works: Authentication 1 The DLD ® establishes a connection between the DTCO ® and the RTM on the office PC. 2 Authentication takes place between the company card and the DTCO ®. Data download 3 Secure data download from the DTCO® to the DLD® (driver cards and / or mass memory data), where the data is collected and encrypted. Data transfer 4 The DLD ® Short Range transmits the encrypted data to the office computer by means of wireless local area network (WLAN). 5 Data for TIS-Web® customers is transmitted directly to the TIS-Web® server via a secure Internet connection (https) ­ meaning it's immediately available for further processing. TIS-Office ® customers' data is transferred automatically from the Remote TCO Manager to TIS-Office ®.
