Position the projector in a horizontal position; other positions can cause heat build-up and damage to the projector. Keep a space of 30 cm or more between the sides of the projector. Do not use the projector in a smoky environment. Smoke residue may buildup on critical parts and damage the projector or its performance. Consult with your dealer for special installation such as suspending from a ceiling.

Locking control keys
With the control keys on the projector locked, you can prevent your projector settings from being changed accidentally (by children, for example). When the Panel Key Lock is on, no control keys on the projector will operate except Power. To release panel key lock, press and hold for 3 seconds on the remote control.
Important
If you press
Power to turn off the projector without disabling panel key lock, the projector will still be in locked status the next time it is turned on.

Setting the presentation timer
The presentation timer can indicate the presentation time on the screen to help you achieve better time management when giving presentations. Follow these steps to utilize this function: 1. Go to the Option > Presentation Timer menu and press on the projector or Enter on the remote control to display the Presentation Timer page. Highlight Timer Period and decide the timer period by pressing /. Important If the timer is already on, the timer will restart whenever the Timer Period is reset. Press to highlight Display Timer and choose if you want the timer to show up on the screen by pressing / .
