NOTE : If the user touches any of the following base keys: TIME/SET, SELECT, MENU, ERASE, REC/MEMO, REPEAT, SKIP, ANSWER, MAILBOX 1, 2, 3, VOL+, VOL- while there is new messages and the alert is on, the ITAD will stop the periodic alert. There will be message alert again if new messages are received. This provides a convenient way to disable the alert. Also, when the base is in speakerphone mode, the alert will also be disabled temporally.

Set Announce-only
The answering machine can be set to announce-only, i. e. the ITAD just announces the announcement only OGM and does not allow the caller to leave any messages.

Toll Saver The incoming call is answered after 2 rings only if there are new messages/memos present in memory, otherwise, answers call after 4 rings. Thus, if Toll Saver is active and your ITAD rings 3 times when you call, you can hang-up to avoid any long distance charges.
