After oil has drained completely, close and lock the drain valve by pushing inward and turning clockwise until the pin is in the locked position as shown. Remove the drain tube and replace the cap onto to the bottom fitting of the drain valve. Refill engine with oil through oil fill dipstick tube. For approximate capacity see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" section of this manual. Use gauge on oil fill cap/dipstick for checking level. Be sure dipstick cap is tightened securely for accurate reading. Keep oil at "FULL" line on dipstick. TEMPERATURE RANGE ANTICIPATED BEFORE NEXT OIL CHANGE oil_visc_chart1_e FIG. 10 · 16 MAINTENANCE CLEAN AIR SCREEN Air screen must be kept free of dirt and chaff to prevent engine damage from overheating. Clean with a wire brush or compressed air to remove dirt and stubborn dried gum fibers. AIR FILTER (See Fig. 13) Your engine will not run properly using a dirty air filter. Remove cartridge every 25 hours of operation and tap to clean. Replace paper car tridge once a year or after every 100 hours of operation, more often if used in very dusty, dirty conditions. · Remove foam pre-cleaner element by sliding it off of the paper cartridge. NOTE: Do not attempt to clean or oil the paper cartridge. Replace paper cartridge once a year or after every 100 hours of operation; more often if used in very dusty or dirty conditions. · Wash foam pre-cleaner in liquid detergent and water. · Wrap foam pre-cleaner in cloth and squeeze dry. · Lightly coat foam pre-cleaner with clean engine oil. · Install foam pre-cleaner over paper cartridge. · Reassemble cover and tighten knobs securely.
