BEFORE USING THE FREEZER
The appliance is set for optimum operation at specific ambient temperatures, according to the climatic class indicated on the data plate: SN, N up to 32°C ST up to 38°C T up to 43°C Only use the freezer for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food and making ice cubes. To get the most out of your freezer, please read the instructions carefully. These contain a description of your appliance as well as useful tips for storing food. Keep this handbook for future consultation. [. . . ] In practice, when the function is activated, the digital display switches off while the appliance continues operating according to previous settings. Press and hold the alarm reset button (7) for approx. 3 seconds: the green ON led (1) will start blinking and an acoustic signal will sound, indicating the function has been selected. 5 minutes after selection, if no other buttons have been pressed in the meantime, the digital display will switch off automatically and the green ON led (1) will remain permanently alight. Press any button to switch the digital display on again (note: the function associated with the button will not be selected). Press the function button in order to change settings. 5 minutes after pressing the button, the digital display will switch off again. To disable the function, press and hold the alarm reset button (7) until an acoustic signal sounds and the green ON led (1) remains permanently alight, confirming deactivation. NOTE The above-mentioned function is highly recommended to reduce power consumption. Power consumption data refers to the appliance with the BLANK DISPLAY enabled. 18

Control panel lock function
This function prevents anyone from inadvertently changing settings. When this function is enabled, even if a button is pressed the corresponding function is not activated. To lock the control panel, press buttons (7) and (3) simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the yellow LED lights up (6). To unlock the control panel, proceed in the same way: when the yellow LED switches off the control panel lock function is disabled.
Alarms
Temperature alarm Indicates that the internal temperature is above -12°C. The acoustic alarm sounds and the red LED (8) blinks. Press the button (7) to mute the acoustic alarm, then select the fast freeze function and check for any faults. Indicates that the internal temperature has risen above -8°C following a prolonged power failure. The acoustic alarm sounds, the red LED (8) blinks and the digital display (2) blinks indicating the highest temperature reached during the power failure. Pressing the button (7), the digital display shows the current internal temperature. The acoustic alarm sounds, the red LED (8) blinks and the digital display (2) shows SF. In these circumstances, contact the After-Sales Service.

NOTE: The temperature alarm may also activate following the introduction of fresh food; it does not affect the storage of already frozen food in any way.
