BEFORE USING THE FREEZER
The appliance is set for optimum operation at specific ambient temperatures, according to the climatic class indicated on the data plate: SN, N up to 32°C ST up to 38°C T up to 43°C Only use the freezer for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food and making ice cubes. To get the most out of your freezer, please read the instructions carefully. These contain a description of your appliance as well as useful tips for storing food. Keep this handbook for future consultation. [. . . ] • The digital display (1) will blink, showing the previous temperature setting. • Press the button (3) as required to increase the temperature until EC appears on the digital display. NOTE: if the fast freeze function is selected when the ECO function is in operation, the latter switches off automatically and remains deactivated while the fast freeze cycle is in progress.

Control panel lock function
• This function prevents anyone from inadvertently changing settings. • When this function is enabled, even if a button is pressed the corresponding function is not activated. • To lock the control panel, press buttons (2) and (7) simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the yellow LED lights up (6). • To unlock the control panel, proceed in the same way: when the yellow LED switches off the control panel lock function is disabled.
Alarms
• Temperature alarm Indicates that the internal temperature is above -12°C. The acoustic alarm sounds and the red LED (8) blinks. To deactivate the acoustic alarm, press the button (7). The red LED (8) will stop blinking when the freezer reaches at least -12°C. • Prolonged power failure alarm Indicates that the internal temperature has risen above -8°C following a prolonged power failure. The acoustic alarm sounds, the red LED (8) lblinks and the digital display (1) blinks indicating the highest temperature reached during the power failure. Press the button (7); the digital display shows the current internal temperature. • Sensor alarm Indicates a temperature sensor fault. The acoustic alarm sounds, the red LED (8) blinks and the digital display shows “SF”. In these circumstances, contact the After-Sales Service. NOTE: The temperature alarm may also activate following the introduction of fresh food or if the lid is left open for a prolonged period of time; it does not affect the storage of already frozen food in any way. The safety of food preservation may be at risk in the event of a power failure. In this case, we recommend that you check the state of the frozen food.
Energy saving tips
• • • • • • • • Do not install the appliance in places exposed to direct sunlight or near heat sources. Do not obstruct the ventilation grille or the air circulation openings. Remove accumulated dust from the rear of the appliance at least once a year. Do not place hot food in the refrigerator. Restrict the number of times you open the lid. • Check there is no power failure. • Check that the power plug is correctly inserted in the mains socket. • Unplug the appliance, then check there is no damage to the power cable.
