PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
• • • • Use the freezer only for storing frozen foods, freezing fresh food and producing ice cubes. Do not cover or close the vents of the freezer. Do not store glass containers with liquids in the freezer since they may burst. Do not eat ice cubes or ice lollies immediately after removing them from the freezer because they may cause "cold" burns. [. . . ] About 24 hours of rapid freezing are usually sufficient; after this period switch off the rapid freeze function. Warning: For small quantities of food, the rapid freeze function can be disconnected after a few hours, in order to save power consumption.

HOW TO OPERATE THE FREEZER
How to freeze food and store fresh food. Wrap and seal the fresh food in: aluminium foil, clear film, impermeable plastic bags, polyethylene containers with lids, special freezer containers. • The food to be stored must be fresh, ripe and of the best quality. • Fresh vegetables and fruit must be frozen immediately after purchase, so as to retain the nutritive value, structure, consistency, colour and flavour. Meat and game must be hung before freezing. • Note: • Always cool hot food before freezing. • Defrosted or partially defrosted food must be consumed immediately. Do not refreeze food unless you intend preparing individual servings. Once cooked, the defrosted food can be frozen again.
Freezing and storing food
• • Place the food to be frozen in the freezer compartments. Ice packs (if present) must be placed in the space provided (see enclosed product card).
Important: For information regarding periods of food storage, refer to the adjacent table.
Classification of frozen foods.
Place the frozen products in the freezer and classify them. Leave the door open in order to prevent the formation of odours and eliminate internal humidity.

1. • Is the thermostat knob setting correct?• Has the appliance been installed correctly?Abnormal frost build-up • Has the defrost water drain been refitted correctly?The yellow, red and green indicator lights do not work. Note: • If the front edge of the unit is hot, this is not a defect, but prevents formation of condensate. • Gurgling sounds and hissing due to expansion in the refrigerant circuit are normal.
