OPERATION • The indications given in the cooking top instruction manual should be followed at all times. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER The following instructions are for qualified professionals to carry out installation or adjustment operations or servicing as correctly as possible, in accordance with the applicable legislation. [. . . ] • Connect the cooking top to the cooker by means of the joints. • Finally, select the relevant buttons, depending on whether the cooker is gas or electric, and fit by pushing them firmly into the cooker front. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Before connecting the apparatus make sure that: the voltage in the house matches the voltage indicated in cooking top's characteristics plate. The electrical wiring, the meter, fuses or automatic switch, etc. are all sized to suit the power of the cooking top. The power supply of the cooking top is switched on through the knob panel. Connection operations are described in the following paragraphs. 87/308 EEC-compliant in terms of suppression of radioelectric perturbations and interferences. 15 3GB60881. fm5 Page 16 Friday, September 28, 2001 12:28 PM ASSEMBLY Once the cooking top has been installed, secured to the unit and connected to the gas according to local requirements, the following operations must be carried out: • open the side case of the knob panel by removing the relevant screws, and connect the power supply lead to the terminal strip, making sure that the lead is suitable for the rated power of the cooking top. • Run the lead through the cut-out at the bottom of the housing. • Secure the power supply cable conductors to the terminal strip (see adjacent figure) as shown in the diagram: Earth conductor (yellow/green) Phase conductor - L Neutral conductor - N • Secure the conductor terminal to the terminal strip as per local legislation (stripping, distance, screwdriver pressure).
