WARNING: To reduce the risk of accidents, electric shock, injury or damage, when using the hood comply with the basic precautions, including the following. Always disconnect the hood from the power supply before carrying out any installation or maintenance operation on the appliance. Installation must be carried out by a specialised technician, in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions and local safety regulations. [. . . ] Frequently clean all encrustations from dirty surfaces to prevent the accumulation of grease. Do not “flambé” food under the hood. The room must have adequate ventilation when the hood is used at the same time as appliances operating on gas or other fuels. The discharge air must not be eliminated in a duct used to remove fumes produced by appliances operating on gas or other fuels, but must have a separate outlet. All the national regulations on air discharge envisaged by art. 7. 12. 1 of CEI EN 60335-2-31 must be observed. If the hood is used together with other appliances operating on gas or other fuels, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 4 Pa (4 x 10-5 bar). Therefore, make sure the room is adequately ventilated. Do not leave pans unattended when frying, since the cooking oil could catch fire. Make sure the lamps are cold before touching them. The hood is not a shelf, therefore do not overload or place objects on it. • Is the lamp correctly fitted? 6 GB F NL E I 5019 318 33287 Do not connect the appliance to the mains power supply until installation has been completed. Mark a line on the wall, from the cooktop right up to the ceiling, corresponding to the centre-line of the hood. Bearing in mind the minimum heights over the cooktop specified above, mark the height of the hood on the wall with a pencil. Apply the drilling template to the wall over this mark. Using the template supplied, mark the holes, drill them and insert the rawlplugs, then fit the 2 hooks (if provided) or partly screw in 2 screws in the top holes. Hang the hood and adjust the position with the hook adjustment screws (if supplied). Note: The hood MUST be fixed with another 2 screws to be inserted in the bottom holes and (if provided for) with 2 screws in the top holes. Only for some models: Mark the bottom (and top) holes, remove the hood, drill, insert the plugs (partially screw 2 screws in the top holes). Fix the flue support to the wall as close as possible to the ceiling. For the filter version, in this phase also fix the deflector F1 with 2 screws if the flue has grilles at the top (for flues with bottom grilles, see installation step “7”). Hang the hood on the wall again and fix in place with the screws. [. . . ] Light : move the switch to the right or press the button to switch on. Extraction speed : Move the switch to the right or press the next button to increase extraction speed (or open the electric shutter ) . Lamp covers (or halogen lamps, depending on the model). Grease filters: Metal grease filters have an unlimited a life and should be washed once a month either by hand or in a dishwasher at a low temperature and with a short cycle. [. . . ]
