Installation 41 3gb66041. fm Page 42 Wednesday, June 25, 2003 4:21 PM Electrical Connection • The installer is responsible for the correct electrical connection of the appliance and the observance of the relative safety prescriptions. • The appliance must be connected to the mains, checking first of all that the voltage corresponds to the value given on the rating plate and that the section of the electrical wires can take the load indicated on the rating plate. • Fit a standard plug which is suitable for the power absorbed by the appliance. • Plug in the appliance into an earthed socket. [. . . ] • The connection can be made directly to the mains by means of an all-pole disconnect switch with minimum contact gap of 3 mm. • When the appliance is installed, the switch or socket must always be accessible. • The appliance must be connected to the earth. The manufacturer declines all responsability for any problem caused by failure to observe this instruction. • The supply cable must not come in contact with hot parts and must be positioned so that it does not exceed the temperature of 75°C at any point. • After the appliance has been installed, the electrical components must be inaccessible. Stainless steel cooktop • Use a specific cleaner for stainless steel. N. B. : prolonged use of the cooktop may result in slight discolouring of the surfaces around the hotplates.
