Electrical Connection
The installer is responsible for the correct electrical connection of the appliance and the observance of the relative safety prescriptions. The appliance must be connected to the mains, checking first of all that the voltage corresponds to the value given on the rating plate and that the section of the electrical wires can take the load indicated on the rating plate. Fit a standard plug which is suitable for the power absorbed by the appliance. Plug in the appliance into an earthed socket. [. . . ] The connection can be made directly to the mains by means of an all-pole disconnect switch with minimum contact gap of 3 mm. When the appliance is installed, the switch or socket must always be accessible. The appliance must be connected to the earth. The manufacturer declines all responsability for any problem caused by failure to observe this instruction. The supply cable must not come in contact with hot parts and must be positioned so that it does not exceed the temperature of 75°C at any point. After the appliance has been installed, the electrical components must be inaccessible. No liability for damage or injury to persons or property will be accepted from the non-observance of these requirements.
Replacing the supply cable
Turn the cooktop upside down and unhook the terminal board cover inserting a screwdriver into the two hooks (A). Open the strain release (cable clamp) unscrewing screw (F), unscrew the clamps screws and remove the cable. Connect the new supply cable, of suitable size and section, to the terminal board, following the diagrams hereunder: Use cables type H05RR-F The diameter of the supply cable must not exceed 9 mm. 230 V~ 50/60 Hz 240 V~ 50/60 Hz 3 x 1, 5 mm2.

ENERGY SAVING TIPS
Use pots and pans whose bottom diameter is equal to that of the cooking zone or slightly larger. Only use flat-bottomed pots and pans. Do not use the cooktop as a work surface or a support surface. Do not leave the appliance unattended when frying food: risk of fire. Do not place food wrapped in aluminium foil, plastic containers or cloths on the hot cooking zones.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the cooktop, disconnect it from the electrical supply and wait until it has cooled. Care and maintenance of the conventional electric cooktop Clean using a cloth and warm soapy water. Do not use abrasives, corrosive cleaners, cleaners containing chlorine or pan scourers. Do not leave acidic substances on the cooktop (vinegar, salt, lemon juice, etc. ).
