Remember: the appliance is designed only for home use. x x Make sure that water and electrical connections are made by a qualified technician, observing the manufacturer’s instructions (see “Installation” section) and local safety regulations. Remove the transit bolts (see “Installation” section). PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT 1. [. . . ] No spin Can be selected with all programmes. The programme terminates without the spin cycle. Rinse Hold x Available for all programmes. x The wash remains in the drum in the final rinse water without progressing to the spin cycle to reduce creasing. x This function is particularly recommended with programmes for Synthetics or Delicates, if the wash cannot be removed as soon as the programme comes to an end. x To terminate the programme: Press the Rinse hold button again; the programme will terminate automatically with the spin cycle for the preset wash programme. x x f ` Half load lightly soiled Available with programmes for Cottons and Synthetics, x Reduces water consumption, especially in rinse phase. x Particularly suitable for a lightly soiled wash or part loads (for part loads reduce the amount of detergent and additives). x x x S Cold water wash Available with all programmes Wash temperature is the same as the water supply temperature. n STARTING THE PROGRAMME 1. Press the “On/Off” button. 9 M 9 Y N C PROGRAMME END DOOR LOCK When you start the programme the door is automatically locked until the programme terminates. Wait until the door lock is released (about two minutes). Important: leave the door slightly ajar so that the drum can dry properly. WHEN THE PROGRAMME COMES TO AN END Programme selector knob stops on “Stop” position 1. Cancel the options by pressing the concerned buttons. x CHANGING PROGRAMME 1. Press the “On/Off” button again. REMOVING THE FILTER / DRAINING RESIDUAL WATER WHEN MUST I REMOVE THE FILTER OR DRAIN RESIDUAL WATER?− When the appliance is to be moved − When the pump is blocked with foreign material (buttons, coins, safety pins, etc. ). IMPORTANT: before emptying the machine, make sure the water is cool. REMOVING THE FILTER / EMERGENCY DRAINING (depending on model) 1. Remove the coloured dispenser from the detergent compartment and use it to open the debris filter cover. Turn the knob anti-clockwise slowly until it is vertical; do not extract filter as yet. Wait until all the water has drained out into the bowl. Now unscrew the filter completely and extract it. Refit the filter and screw the hose connection to the appliance. Turn on the tap and ensure that connections are completely watertight. 11 M 11 Y N C TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE The appliance will not switch on/stops during a wash cycle. x Power plug properly inserted in mains socket? [. . . ] Open the water tap completely and check water tightness at tap and appliance connections. Notes: x If the hose is too short, replace it with a suitable length of pressure resistant hose (min 10 bar -EN 50065 approved). x Periodically check the condition of the hose and replace if necessary. x The washing machine can be connected without an external aqua stop device.
