EKA 3482-1 li and EKA 3482-1 re) Cooking Zone/Platt’s heating zone On the glass ceramic hob, there is four cooking zones and one for platt’s heating. Each cooking zone is provided with an energy control on your oven front panel or on the separate built-in control panel to turn ON/OFF and regulate the temperature for the cooking zone and on the glass ceramic panel there is an electronic touch button to turn ON/OFF your platt’s heating zone. The operations of the controls on the oven and on the built-in control panel are explained in the instructions manual supplied with the built-in oven or the built-in control panel. How to operate the sensitive touch control buttons for the platt’s heating zone The buttons are on the front side of the platt’s heater zone. To turn ON the heater, proceed as follow: - push button A shown as symbol - make sure that the red LED is turned ON (A1) - immediately after, maximum 5 seconds, push button B with the symbol I , the B1 LED will turn ON and the first LED will turn OFF. As long as LED B1 is ON that means that your heater is still ON. - To turn OFF the heater, push on button C with symbol . We recommend to always maintain dry the sensors zone to avoid any interference in the electronics controlling the heater which might turn OFF your heater. The pans base must be the same or slightly greater than that of the cooking zone never smaller. You can set a lower power and save energy. Pressure pans help to save energy and are quicker than traditional pans. !NO 86 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 1. Use clean clothes or paper for domestic use, liquid detergent, commercial products such as Sidol for stainless steel, Stahlfix or Cerafix or the enclosed razor-blade scraper. Do not use abrasive powder or detergent, oven sprays, rust or stain removers, bleaches, sponges with a rough abrasive surface, steelwood pads. Try to clean the hob when it is only slightly soiled, ideally after each use when it is lukewarm or cold. Encrusted food or fats are better removed while still warm, using the glass scraper supplied or razor blade. Finish cleaning with Sidol for stainless steel or Stahlfix. Should any sugar fall on the hob, remove it immediately as it may melt when it comes in contact with the hot surface of the hob. 87 AFTER-SALES SERVICE You have bought a high quality hob, manufactured according to the most advanced technologies. In case of faults, please check if you have followed all the instructions and hints given in this booklet. [. . . ] Remove again the glass ceramic hob and screw tightly the screws of flat eccentric roller. With a cleaning agent, clean properly the border of the hob to remove any oil grease or other dirt. Reinstall the glass ceramic hob in its hole and adjust the spacing around the glass to be evenly spaced on all sides.
