Protection against freezing If the appliance is placed in an area where there is a risk of freezing, it must be drained completely. Turn off the water tap, disconnect the flexible inlet and outlet hoses, and let all the water run out. Only for appliances equipped with the water stop system: The water inlet hose and the plastic box contain electrical components. Do not cut the hose or immerse the box in water. If the hose is damaged switch off the appliance immediately. The appliance must only be used at temperatures between 5°C and 45°C. This appliance is marked according to the European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). You can help prevent potentially harmful consequences for the environment and health by ensuring that this appliance is disposed of appropriately. For further information on the treatment, recovery and recycling of this appliance, contact your competent local authority, the collection service for household waste or the shop where you purchased the appliance. 11 HOW TO FILL THE SALT CONTAINER If the water hardness level is 1-2 (medium) or higher, before using the dishwasher, fill the salt container with regeneration salt (to find out the hardness level of water in your area, contact your local water supplier or check the last bill you received). The dishwasher is equipped with an electronic control system that allows the user to set the water softener in accordance with the hardness level of the water supply. To set the water softener, proceed as follows: If the water hardness level does not correspond to position h3 on the selector (factory setting) or if the water hardness level changes: Setting the water softener The dishwasher is equipped with a device that allows the user to set the water softener in accordance with the hardness level of the water supply. The water hardness level is selected using the PROGRAMME SELECTION BUTTON. To set the water hardness, hold the button pressed for more than 15 seconds.
