To get the most out of your new appliance, please read the user handbook carefully. The handbook contains a description of your appliance and useful tips for storing food. Keep this handbook for future consultation. [. . . ] NOTE: in the event of a power failure, settings remain stored in memory. The time required for the freezer to reach the set temperature depends on climatic conditions and the temperature setting selected. ECO setting ECONOMY mode should be used when the appliance is only partially filled, in particular when food does not reach above the level indicated by the "e" on the separator. To select ECONOMY mode, proceed as follows: • Press one of the temperature adjustment buttons (3 ; 4) once. • The digital display (2) flashes, showing the previous temperature setting. • Press button (4) as required to increase the temperature until the display shows EC. Repeat this procedure to unlock the control panel: when the yellow led switches off, the control panel is no longer locked. • Once this function has been selected, even if a button is pressed the corresponding function is not activated. • To lock the control panel, press buttons (8) and (4) simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the yellow led (7) lights up. • Alarms • Temperature alarm Indicates that the internal temperature is above -12°C. The acoustic alarm is activated and the red led (9) flashes. Press button (8) to mute the acoustic alarm, then immediately select the fast freeze function and check for any faults. Prolonged power failure Indicates that the internal temperature has risen above -8°C alarm following a prolonged power failure. The acoustic alarm is activated, the red led (9) flashes and the digital display (2) flashes, showing the highest temperature reached during the power failure. Press button (8); the digital display shows the current internal temperature. Temperature sensor Indicates a temperature sensor malfunction. alarm The acoustic alarm activates, the red led (9) flashes and the digital display shows "SF". NOTE: the temperature alarm may activate following introduction of fresh food; however this does not affect the storage of already frozen food in any way. A power failure, on the other hand, may compromise the correct storage of frozen food; in the event of a power failure, check that food is still thoroughly frozen. • • Energy saving tips • • • • • • • • • • • • Do not install the appliance in places exposed to direct sunlight or near heat sources. Do not obstruct the ventilation grille or the air circulation openings. Remove accumulated dust from the rear of the appliance at least once a year. Do not place hot food in the refrigerator.
