Remove cardboard protection pieces, protective film and adhesive labels from accessories. Check the appliance for any transport damage. [. . . ] IMPORTANT: do not use corrosive or abrasive detergents. If any of these products accidentally comes into contact with the appliance, clean immediately with a damp cloth. If it is very dirty, add a few drops of washing up detergent to the water. IMPORTANT: do not use abrasive sponges or metallic scrapers or scourers. Use detergents specifically designed for cleaning the appliance and follow the manufacturer instructions. Perimeter suction panel The suction panel must be cleaned with the same frequency as the grease filter. Use a damp cloth and a soft liquid detergent. Do not use products containing abrasives. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL The panel normally covers the grease filters, and must therefore be opened each time access to the grease filters and the inside of the hood is required (e. g. Opening: Pull the panel (LEFT SIDE for 60 cm hood or FRONT SIDE for 80 cm hood) downwards. Closing: The panels must be fixed to the appropriate pins on the surface of the hood. WARNING: Always check that the panel is fitted properly. To clean the grease filter The metal grease filter has an unlimited life and must be washed once a month by hand or dishwasher at low temperature and with a short cycle. With cleaning in a dishwasher the grease filter may become dull; this does not effect its filtering capacity. ENGLISH 9 Replacing the halogen lamps WARNING: - Only use 12V 10W 30° Ø35 12V GU4 halogen lamps. Disconnect the hood from the electric power supply. Use a small screwdriver to remove the lamp by pushing its edges upwards. Remove the faulty light bulb and replace with a new one. IMPORTANT: make sure you don’t touch the lamp with your bare hands. Charcoal filter maintenance (if the hood is installed in recirculation mode) 1. Remove the grease filters. 2. Fit (bayonet attachment) 1 adaptor each conveyour side. 3. Fit (bayonet attachment) 1 charcoal filter each conveyour side. 4. Reverse the above procedure to remove the charcoal filter. 5. Refit the grease filters, Charcaol filter is neither lavable nor regenerable. Replace it every 4 months. ENGLISH 10 What to do if . . .
