IMPORTANT: do not use corrosive or abrasive detergents. If any of these products accidentally comes into contact with the appliance, clean immediately with a damp cloth. • Clean the surfaces with a damp cloth. If it is very dirty, add a few drops of washing up detergent to the water. IMPORTANT: do not use abrasive sponges or metallic scrapers or scourers. • Use detergents specifically designed for cleaning the appliance and follow the manufacturer instructions. IMPORTANT: clean the filters at least monthly to remove any oil or grease residuals. ENGLISH 8 Perimeter extraction panel maintenance: Clean the perimeter extraction panel as often as the grease filter, using a cloth and a not too concentrated liquid detergent. Removing the perimeter extraction panel: Pull the panel firmly towards you. Grease filter maintenance: 1. Unplug the appliance or disconnect the power supply. 2. Remove the grease filters: pull the spring release handle, then remove the filter downwards. 3. After cleaning the grease filter, remount in reverse order ensuring the entire extraction surface is covered. WARNING: Hold the panel with both hands when you remove it or replace it, to prevent it from falling and causing damage or injury. Fitting the perimeter extraction panel: Refit the panel and secure it using the fastening pins located on the surface of the hood. WARNING: Always check to ensure that the panel is firmly fixed in place. To clean the grease filter The metal grease filter has an unlimited life and must be washed once a month by hand or dishwasher at low temperature and with a short cycle. With cleaning in a dishwasher the grease filter may become dull; this does not effect its filtering capacity. Charcoal filter maintenance (for filtering hood only) 1. Unplug the appliance or disconnect the power supply. 2. Remove the grease filter 3. If the charcoal filters are already mounted (two filters covering the motor protection grille) and need renewing, turn the central handle anticlockwise until the filters release. 4. If the filters are not already fitted, locate one on each side to cover both motor protection grilles, then turn the central handle of the filters clockwise. Replace a new charcoal filter every 4 months. ENGLISH 9 Lamp maintenance 1. Disconnect the hood from the electric power supply. Use a small screwdriver or any other suitable tool to prise off the lamp cover 3. Use G4 20W max halogen bulbs only, taking care not to touch them with your hands.
