Manual abstract: user guide WHIRLPOOL KCIP 1210/IINSTRUCTION FOR USE
Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] Do not leave a frying pan unattended when frying food as the cooking oil could catch fire. Constant cleaning and maintenance of your hood will ensure it works properly. Regularly remove all the ingrained food from dirty surfaces. Regularly remove and clean or change the filter. [. . . ] If the installation instructions for the gas cooking appliance specify a greater distance, then follow that instruction.

Installation
The hood comes with plugs suitable for most walls/ceilings. You should however consult a qualified technician to make sure the installation is suitable for your kind of wall/ceiling. The wall/roof should be sufficiently strong to support the weight of the hood. Before installation: • Check that the product purchased is the right size for the area where it is to be installed. • To make installation easier, temporarily remove the parts that block access to the fixing areas (e. g. : grease filters, perimetric suction panels and carbon filter support frames, depending on which model you have). • Remove the active carbon filter/s if provided (again consult relative paragraph). This/these should be re-assembled only if you wish to use the hood in the extraction mode. • Check that there are no parts (e. g. bags with screws, warranty) inside of the hood (for transport reasons). If there are, remove them and put to the side. • If possible, disconnect and remove the surrounding units and those near the installation area of the hood so that you have better accessibility to the ceiling / wall where the hood is to be installed. 6 • Remove the power cable from the connection box on the motor unit. • Connect up the electricity on the ceiling within the tolerance limits indicated on the template. • Vented mode only: Install a suitable extraction vent pipe (with a diameter of 150mm) that is long enough to reach the connection ring on the motor unit, when installed. Use the mathematical formula in the diagram to do this.

Installation
Fig. 7 • Hook the frame to the 2 screws on the ceiling and fit securely with another 2 screws (front and back). 8 • Chimney size: the flue comes in a standard length and can be cut to size. Note: The height of the flue should be the same as the frame extension (see the mathematical formula in Fig. 3) • Insert the flue in the frame, check that the welded side is turned to the back (the opposite side from where the hood control panel will be when installation is complete). 9 • Hook the motor unit onto the frame on 4 screws previously screwed onto the unit. Pass the electrical cable through the motor unit so that it does not get damaged and so that it is possible to connect to the electrical connection box. Note: the side with the electrical connection box corresponds with the side (FRONT) where the control panel will be once the hood has been installed. [. . . ] ON/OFF light button: press once for a dimmed light, twice for a full light. Motor ON/OFF button: press to turn the hood on or off. Once the hood is on, it extracts at the speed (power) of the previously selected suction. Intense extraction ON/OFF speed button (power): lasts for 5 minutes, after which the hood returns to previously selected extraction rate. [. . . ]
