Induction compatable pans have an iron base. Check to see if your pans are compatable by using a magnet. If the magnet sticks, the pan is compatable. If a pan is taken off the cooling zone, the zone will switch off and the letter "U" is appear in the display. This will disappear when the pan is replaced on the cooking zone and the zone will switch back on. • Do not switch on the hot plates/cooking area when there is no pan in position.
