Frozen food can be stored in the compartment for the period of time indicated on the pack, and also fresh food can be frozen. The quantity of fresh food that can be frozen in 24 hours is shown on the rating plate. The amount of ice which forms and the rate at which it accumulates will depends on room temperature and humidity, and on the frequency with which the door is opened. Ice formation is concentrated at the top of the compartment and does not affect the efficiency of the appliance.
