OPERATING YOUR WINE CHILLER ?Temperature Control and Light Switch MED ON OFF LO HI OFF 8 ?Your Wine Chiller has only one control for regulating the temperature. The temperature control is located on the u pper right hand corner of the compartment. To control the internal temperature, adjust the control knob according to the ambient temperature or purpose of use. The first time you turn the unit on, set the temperature control to "MAX" position. The settings of temperature control are from "MIN " t o "MAX". After 2 hours, adjust the temperature control setting to "MED". The setting of "MED" should be appropriate for home or office Wine Chiller use. NOTE: ?The range between "MAX" and "MIN" is from 51?F, which is ideal for the storage of most wines. CAUTION Failure to unplug the Wine Chiller could result in electrical shock or personal injury. 9 ?Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your appliance if you minimize the number of times the door is opened. If the power is going to be off for a longer period of time, you need to take the proper steps to protect your contents. ?Short vacations: Leave the Wine Chiller operating during vacations of less than three weeks. Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used for several months, remove all items and unplug the power cord. To prevent odor and mold growth, leave the door open slightly: blocking it open if necessary. ?Securely tape down all loose items (shelves) inside your appliance. Protect outside of appliance with a blanket, or similar item. ?The Wine Chiller should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances, and out of the direct sunlight. One characteristic of thermoelectric units is the length of time it requires to recover from having the door opened and shut frequently.
