[. . . ] Place 1 to 3/2 cups warm, soapy water into the container and blend at high speed for a few seconds. Remove container from base and rinse with water. Wipe the blender base with a clean, damp cloth. CAUTION : Do not immerse the blender base in water or other liquid. [. . . ] Remember to replace the cover insert when you have finished adding ingredients. To add ice cubes while the blending operating, add one cube at a time. Wait a few seconds before adding the next ice cube so that the blender can properly blend the ice. to blend beverages , place all the ingredients in the container at the same time. To prevent the container from unscrewing from the blade assembly, release the collar from the base first, then lift filled container from the base : do not turn. For accurate measuring, be sure to use a measuring cup. CAUTION : After blending, release the container by holding the assembled collar instead of the container handle as the figure 2 shows. The figure 3 shows the speed control dial on your blender. this dial is located on the base of the blender. To operate the blender at the low speed, turn the dial to "I": the Fig. 3 blender will now run at the low speed. To stop the blender, turn the dial to "0", this will stop the blender. To operate the blender at the high speed, turn the dial to "II". the blender will now operate at the high speed. To stop the blender, turn the dial to "0", this will stop the blender. While the blender is operating, you may alternate between low and high speeds simply by turning the dail to the desired speed setting. For short pulse of blending, quickly turn the dial back and forth from "P" to "0". To avoid injury, never place blending blade assembly on base without container properly attached. Always operate blender with cover in place. When blending hot liquids, remove center cover insert from cover. [. . . ] Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putiing on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
