Winternals Software LP Page 18 ERD Commander 2000 6 The Command Set The command set of ERD Commander 2000, like its command-line editing features, is similar to that of Windows NT/2000. The command set includes all standard file-related commands, and virtually all support the same options as their Windows NT/2000 counterparts. This list shows the full set, with each command linked to its documentation. This list can be obtained inside of ERD Commander 2000 by entering the HELP command, and detailed information on the syntax of a particular command can be listed by typing "command /?" or "HELP command". Note that the commands are interpreted in a caseinsensitive manner so that "HELP" is the same as "help". ACCESS ATTRIB BATCH CD CHDIR CHKDSK CLS COMPRESS COPY DEL DEVICE DIR EDIT Gives Everyone full access to a files or directories. Executes an ERD Commander 2000 batch file. Displays the name of or changes the current directory. Displays the name of or changes the current directory. Checks and/or corrects the consistency of a drive. Copies one or more files to another location. Displays and modifies device startup settings. Displays a list of files and subdirectories in a directory. Starts the file editor. Quits ERD Commander 2000 and reboots the system. Initializes fault tolerant disk support. Provides Help information for ERD Commander 2000 commands. Allows the user to select an alternate keyboard layout. Displays drive letter to partition mapping. Moves one or more files from one directory to another directory. Syntax XCOPY source [destination] [/A | /M] [/P] [/S] [/W] [/C] [/I] [/Q] [/F] [/H] [/R] [/T] [/U] [/K] source destination Switches /A Specifies the file(s) to copy Specifies the location and/or name of the new files Copies files with the archive attribute set, doesn't change the attribute /M Copies files with the archive attribute set, turns off the archive attribute /P /S /W /C /I Prompts you before creating each destination file Copies directories and subdirectories except empty ones Prompts you to press a key before copying Continues copying even if errors occur If destination does not exist and copying more than one file, assumes that destination must be a directory /Q /F /H /R /T Does not display file names while copying Displays full source and destination file names while copying Copies hidden and system files also Overwrites read-only files Creates directory structure, but does not copy files.
