The B1D Divided Pickup Unit can pick up the vibrations produced by an electric bass guitar's strings, and transmit those signals to a Yamaha Guitar MIDI Converter (G50). When properly installed and adjusted it can convert almost any steel stringed bass guitar into a controller for a guitar synthesizer system. Make sure that the holes are drilled vertically. Insert the springs into the underside of the pickup, insert the tapping screws (3x25) through the screw holes and springs, and screw the screws in the holes in the body. With the bass properly tuned, adjust the pickup height by loosening or tightening the pickup screws. Adjust the clearance while the highest note on each string is fretted.
