You can use the following parameters in SET MENU to manually adjust a variety of system settings and customize the way this unit operates. Change the initial settings (indicated in bold under each parameter) to reflect the needs of your listening environment. y
You can run MANUAL SETUP using the system menu that appears in the OSD or in the front panel display. This manual uses the OSD illustrations to explain the MANUAL SETUP procedure.
1 BASIC MENU
Use to manually adjust basic system parameters.

Features
Selects the size of each speaker, the speakers for low-frequency signal output and the cross over frequency. Adjusts the output level of each speaker. Turns the test tone output on or off for the SPEAKER SET, SP LEVEL and SP DISTANCE settings.

Use to manually adjust speaker settings or compensate for video signal processing delays when using LCD monitors or projectors. Most of the SOUND MENU parameters are set automatically when you run AUTO SETUP (see page 32). y

LFE/Bass out LFE/BASS OUT Low-frequency (bass) signals can be directed to the subwoofer and/or the front left and right speakers according to the characteristics of your system. This setting also determines the routing of the LFE (lowfrequency effect) signals found in Dolby Digital or DTS sources. Choices: SWFR (subwoofer), FRONT, BOTH THX recommendation: SWFR

· Select NONE if you do not have a center speaker. The unit directs all of the center channel signal to the front left and right speakers. · Select SML if you have a small center speaker.
