Use an Ethernet "straight" cable. · Do not use a "cross" cable to connect the control panel unit and adaptor box. Also do not use joint connectors, cross cable converters, or other extension adaptors. WARNING Control panel unit CAUTION · Connect the control panel unit and adaptor box directly, not via a network switch. · For maximum safety be sure to securely connect the DOM-30 earth screw to an earth connection . Earth screw. 2 Connect the adaptor box to a network switch or the DME series. Use a "straight" cable for connection to a network switch, or a "cross" cable for direct connection to the DME series. n · Use a 100Base-TX/10Base-T network switch. · The total length of the cables connecting the control panel unit to the network switch or DME series can be up to 100 meters.
