[. . . ] 4-6 E EMK29010 Battery Care w Battery electrolyte is poisonous and dangerous, causing severe burns, etc. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. INTERNAL; Drink large quantities of water or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beaten egg, or vegetable oil. EYES; Flush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention. Batteries produce explosive gases: Keep sparks, flame, cigarettes, etc. Ventilate when charging or using in a closed space. Always wear eye protection when working near batteries. NOTE: Batteries vary among manufacturers. Therefore the following procedures may not always apply. Consult your battery manufacturer's instructions. Standard spark plug: Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS", page 4-1. Before fitting the spark plug, measure the electrode gap with a wire thickness gauge; adjust the gap to specification if necessary. Spark plug gap: Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS", page 4-1. 4-11 E When fitting the plug, always clean the gasket surface and use a new gasket. Wipe off any dirt from the threads and screw in the spark plug to the correct torque. Spark plug torque: Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS", page 4-1. NOTE: If a torque-wrench is not available when you are fitting a spark plug, a good estimate of the correct torque is 1/4 to 1/2 a turn past finger-tight.
