The tilt-lock mechanism does not work while the shallow water cruising system is being used. Hitting an underwater obstacle could cause the engine to lift out of the water, resulting in loss of control. 8 Do not rotate the engine 180° and operate the boat in reverse. Place the gear-shift in the Reverse position to operate the boat in reverse. 8 Use extra care when operating in reverse.
