[. . . ] Owner`s Manual EN SPECIAL MESSAGE SECTION This product utilizes batteries or an external power supply (adapter). DO NOT connect this product to any power supply or adapter other than one described in the manual, on the name plate, or specifically recommended by Yamaha. WARNING: Do not place this product in a position where anyone could walk on, trip over , or roll anything over power or connecting cords of any kind. The use of an extension cord is not recommended! [. . . ] Applying phantom power to equipment other than phantompowered microphones can damage the equipment. The exception to this rule is balanced dynamic microphones, which can safely be left connected while phantom power is applied to input jacks 1 and 2. To minimize the possibility of speaker damage, turn phantom power on ONLY while your power amplifier or powered speakers are switched off. It's also a good idea to turn the mixers output controls -- [MASTER] knob and HEADPHONE LEVEL knob -- all the way down when turning phantom power on. 13 Connectors and controls E [MASTER] knob Controls the levels of the analog outputs (OUTPUT 1/2 or OUTPUT 3/4). The output pair to be controlled can be selected via the Push function (OUTPUT 1/2 or OUTPUT 3/4 or both jacks). The output pair currently being controlled can be monitored by the MAIN/MONITOR LED. In addition, pressing and holding the knob for 2 seconds or more will mute the channels currently being controlled. This can be used to switch back and forth between two monitor speaker sets for a direct comparison. This function is also available via the GO46 Control Panel. (See page 20. ) F MAIN and MONITOR LED Indicates the output pair currently being controlled by the master or muted. The MAIN LED corresponds to OUTPUT 1/2 jacks, MONITOR LED to OUTPUT 3/4. H PHONES jack Output for a 1/4" stereo headphone jack. The signal from OUTPUT 3/4 on the rear panel is always available at the PHONES jack. The actual signal available there depends on the routing, which you can set up to suit your needs in the GO46 Control Panel. (See page 20. ) 14 Connectors and controls Rear Panel 9 J K L O MN I INPUT 1/2 jacks P Q R J K L M The GO46 System features two high-quality analog mono inputs. The connections have been designed for balanced/unbalanced phone 1/4" jacks. The gain for these inputs can also be set using the GAIN knobs on the front panel. When connecting devices to the INPUT jacks on both the front and rear panels, the input on the front panel takes precedence and will automatically be active. INSERT 1/2 jacks These are 1/4" stereo headphone jacks for channel insert ins and outs. External effects such as compressors and effect processors can be inserted into the recording path before the signal is sent to the A/D converter. OUTPUT 1/2 jacks The connections have been designed for balanced/unbalanced phone 1/4" jacks for main output. You can connect mixers, powered speakers, or amplifiers.
