Connection to a USB Storage Device By connecting the instrument to a USB storage device, you can save data you've created, as well as read or play the data from the connected device. Compatible USB storage devices A USB storage device, such as a floppy disk drive and flash memory can be connected to the USB TO DEVICE terminal. Other USB devices such as a computer keyboard or mouse cannot be used. · Make sure that data is not being transmitted from the instrument. (Data is transmitted only by playing notes on the keyboard or playing back a Song. ) · While the computer is connected to the instrument, you should wait for six seconds or more between these operations: (1) when turning the power of the instrument off then on again, or (2) when alternately connecting/disconnecting the USB cable. 2 Connect the USB terminal of the com- puter to the USB terminal on the instrument using a standard USB cable (USB cable sold separately). The supplied CD-ROM includes instructions on how to download the Musicsoft Downloader application from the Internet.
