Before turning the power on or off for all devices, set all volume levels to minimum. · Be sure to connect to a properly grounded power source. A ground screw is provided on the rear panel of this device for maximum safety and shock prevention. If the AC mains outlet is not grounded, be sure to connect the ground screw to a confirmed ground point before plugging the device into the mains. Improper grounding can result in electrical shock. Location · Before moving the device, remove all connected cables. · If this device is to be mounted in an EIA-standard rack, leave the back of the rack open and make sure that it is at least 10 cm away from walls or surfaces. Under these conditions two of these devices can be rack-mounted directly on top of each other. Inadequate ventilation can result in overheating, possibly causing damage to the device(s), or even fire. · Do not use the device in a confined, poorly-ventilated location. Refer to the owner's manual supplied with your device to determine if it is compatible with the PW800W. Use the cable supplied with the device to be connected to connect the PW800W to your device. Use the optional PSL360 Power Supply Link Cable to connect the M7CL. PW800W Power-on Procedure The POWER indicator will light when the PW800W is supplying power to the connected device. n Although the POWER indicator will light when the POWER switch is on while the powered device and PW800W are properly connected, please note that the indicator won't light if the powered device and PW800W are not properly connected or a fault in the PW800W results in failure to output the required 24 volts DC. 1. Make sure that the PW800W power switch is OFF. Connect the PW800W to the device to be powered using the cable supplied with the device (or PSL360). Plug the PW800W power cord into an appropriate AC outlet. Turn the POWER switch ON. Be sure to turn the POWER switch OFF before connecting the PW800W to the device to be powered.
