Also avoid using multi-plug adaptors since these can result in reduced sound quality and possible damage.
I Turn Power OFF When Making Connections
· To avoid damage to the Silent Guitar and other devices to which it is connected (a sound system, for example), turn the power switches of all related devices OFF prior to connecting or disconnecting audio cables.
I Handling and Transport
· · · · Never apply excessive force to the controls, connectors or other parts. Always unplug cables by gripping the plug firmly, not by pulling on the cable. Disconnect all cables before moving the unit. Physical shocks caused by dropping, bumping, or placing heavy objects on the unit can result in scratches and more serious damage.
I Cleaning
· Clean the guitar body with a dry soft cloth. · A slightly damp cloth may be used to remove stubborn grime and dirt. · Never use cleaners such as alcohol or thinner.
I Electrical Interference
· This unit contains electric circuitry and may cause interference if placed too close to radio or television receivers. If this occurs, move it further away from the affected equipment. YAMAHA is not responsible for damage caused by improper handling or operation.

To remove the frame, simply reverse the order of the procedure described above, removing the upper rod from tha main body before removing the lower rod.
· After the frame is attached, make sure attachment screws 1 and 2 are tightened firmly. Using the instrument with the screws loose will result in rattle or other noise during performance. · When transporting the instrument, please carry the instrument by its neck or main body. Holding the instrument by only its left or right frame will result in damage of the frame or the frame's fixed parts.
I About the Strap Pin
The frame attachment screw can be used as a strap pin for a separately purchased guitar strap.
· Make sure that the strap is firmly hooked onto the strap pin so the instrument does not drop during performance.

Tuning
Use a tuning meter, pitch pipe, tuning fork, piano, etc. , and tune the open strings to the pitches shown below.
· If the string's pitch is high, loosen the string until the string's pitch is slightly lower than the tuning pitch, then tune while raising the string's pitch.

Play the standard pitch "lah" (A3: 440Hz) on a tuning fork, etc. , and tune the open 5th string to the same pitch. Play the pitch produced by pressing the 5th string at the 5th fret, and tune the open 4th string to the same pitch. Play the pitch produced by pressing the 4th string at the 5th fret, and tune the open 3rd string to the same pitch. Play the pitch produced by pressing the 3rd string at the 4th fret, and tune the open 2nd string to the 5.
