[. . . ] The radiator fan operation is completely automatic. It is switched on or off according to the coolant temperature in the radiator. @ @ 1. Remove panel C, cowling A and cowling B. Remove the water pump drain bolt and drain the coolant from the water pump housing. Disconnect the radiator hose by loosening the clamp and drain the coolant completely. Thoroughly flush the cooling system with clean tap water. 6 6-14 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR 7. Connect the radiator hose and tighten the clamp. Retighten the drain bolt to the specified torque. Tightening torque: Drain bolt: 12 Nm (1. 2 m·kg) 1. q The engine should never be run without the air filter installed. Excessive piston and/or cylinder wear may result. WARNING Make sure that the fuel hoses and vacuum hose are properly connected, in place and not pinched. Most adjustments should be left to a Yamaha dealer who has the professional knowledge and experience to do so. However, the idle speed may be adjusted by the owner as part of routine maintenance.
