· Check bearing for looseness or damage. · Check operation and for excessive play. · Lubricate with lithium-soap-based grease. · Check chain slack, alignment and condition. · Adjust and lubricate chain with a special O-ring chain lubricant thoroughly. Remove cowling A (if removing cowling C) or cowling B (if removing cowling D). Disconnect the turn signal light lead coupler. Remove the bolts, quick fasteners, and quick fastener screw, and then take the cowling off.

To install the cowling 1. Place the cowling in the original position, and then install the bolts, quick fasteners, and quick fastener screw. Connect the turn signal light lead coupler. Install cowling A (to complete the installation of cowling C) or cowling B (to complete the installation of cowling D).
