A B D194 Rear spacers The plastic bag containing all relevant documentation also contains two rear wall spacers to be fitted into special slots on the back of the appliance. Fit the spacers into the slots, taking care to ensure that the arrow (A) is positioned as shown in Figure 2. Next, turn them through 45° (arrow in vertical position) until they lock into place. Cleaning the appliance's interior Before using the appliance for the first time, wash all internal parts with lukewarm water and neutral soap so as to remove the typical «new» smell and then dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents or abrasive powders as these will damage the finish. 4 Door reversal (Fig. 3) Unplug the appliance before all operations. To reverse the door, proceed as follows: dismantle the lower hinge (3), pin (1), the threaded insert (4) and the screw (2); slide the door out from pin (5), unscrew the pin and reposition on the opposite side; unscrew the left front foot and reposition on the opposite side; unscrew the two screws which mask the holes for fixing the hinge from the left front side; reassemble the door; reassemble the lower hinge (turning it 180°), the threaded insert, the pin and the screw on the opposite side, as shown in the figure; dismantle the handle (6) and reassemble it on the opposite side. The holes that are not used are to be masked with the plastic plugs removed. Attention After completion of the door reversibility operation, verify that the door gasket is adherent to the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold (i. e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectly to the cabinet. In that case, wait for the natural fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by heating up the part involved with a normal hairdrier. The control panel (Fig. Temperature alarm light B CDE Starting Insert the power supply plug into the nearest wall socket (the function indicator light (C) will light up indicating that the freezer is receiving electrical input). Turn the thermostat knob (A) to the right to a medium setting (the temperature alarm light (E) will light up). It is perfectly normal for the temperature alarm light to remain lit up for a short time after the freezer is initially turned on. [. . . ] The ice-cubes may be shaken out from the trays by simply twisting; do not use metallic instruments to remove the trays from the freezer. 8 MAINTENANCE Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation. Idle periods During periods when the appliance is not used, you should take the following precautions: remove the plug from the wall socket; remove all food from the appliance; defrost and clean the interior and all accessories; leave the door slightly open, thus letting air circulate and preventing the formation of mould and unpleasant smells. Periodical cleaning Wash the interior of the appliance with lukewarm water and sodium bicarbonate. Clean cabinet outer surfaces with a silicone-wax spray. The condenser and compressor should be cleaned using a brush or a vacuum cleaner. [. . . ]
