Operation
Insert the plug into the wall socket. The pilot light will light up, indicating that the appliance is powered. Turn the thermostat knob, clockwise, beyond the Ç0È (STOP) position. The appliance will start to operate. To stop the appliance, turn the thermostat knob to position Ç0È.
A medium setting is generally the most suitable. To stop operation, simply turn the thermostat knob to position Ç0È.
Fast freezing
To start fast-freezing food, press button (B). Pilot light (C) will come on.
Temperature regulation
The temperature is automatically regulated and can be increased to achieve a higher temperature (warmer) by rotating the thermostat knob towards minimum or reduced (colder) by rotating the knob towards maximum. However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in mina that the temperature inside the refrigerator depends on: room temperature; how often the door is opened; the quantity of food stored; location of appliance.
Warning light
Warning light (E) lights up when the temperature inside the freezer compartment has increased to a value which jeopardizes the long-term storage of food in the compartment. When the appliance is switched on for the first time or when food is placed in the compartment for freezing, it is normal for this light to remain on until the temperature has reached the level required for correct storage.

Internal thermometer
This indicates the internal temperature of the freezer. It may indicate a temperature above -18¡C when large quantities of food are placed inside for freezing or when the door is left open for a long time. Blue: normal Red: alarm

Freezing fresh food
The 4-star compartment is suitable for long term storage of commercially frozen food, and for freezing fresh food. To fast freeze food, if the appliance has been out of operation, allow it to run on the fast freeze setting for at least three hours before loading food. If, however, the appliance is already in operation, set it run on the fast freeze setting for at least 24 hours before loading the food. Place the food to be frozen in the compartment(s) as shown in the figure.

Storage of frozen food
When first starting-up after a period out of use, let the appliance run for at least three hours on the fast freeze setting before putting the products in the compartment. Important
If there is a power failure when food is in the freezer, do not open the door of the freezer compartment. The frozen food will not be affected if the power cut is of short duration (up to 6-8 hours) and the freezer compartment is full, otherwise, it is recommended that the food should be used within a short time (a temperature increase of the frozen food shortens its safe storage period). .
Thawing
Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being used, can be thawed in the refrigerator compartment or at room temperature, depending on the time available for this operation. Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen, directly from the freezer: in this case, cooking will take longer.
Ice-cube production
This appliance is equipped with one or more trays for the production of ice-cubes. Fill these trays with water, then put them in the freezer compartment. Do not use metallic instruments to remove the trays from the freezer.
