Eggs Yoghurt, sour cream Bottles, drinks Storage Shelf To Start the Appliance 1. Allow the appliance to stand for 2 hrs after installation. Plug in the appliance and switch on at the mains supply. Turn the thermostat control knob to the required setting. A setting of 4 is usually suitable for normal operation (see thermostat control). Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours for the correct temperature to be reached before placing food inside. Hints & T ips Food Storage To obtain the best results from your appliance neither hot foods nor liquids which may evaporate, should be placed in the refrigerator. Keep the time between buying chilled food and placing it in your fridge as short as possible. Do not push food together too much, try to allow air to circulate around each item. Remove suspect food from your refrigerator and clean, refer to Cleaning and Maintenance. Thermostat Control The thermostat control knob situated inside the refrigerator regulates the temperature of the refrigerator and icemaking compartment. Thermostat control knob is marked from 1-7 the higher the number, the colder the setting. Position 0 Position 1 Position 7 Off Cold Coldest Hints for storage Suggested storage locations for different types of food produce: 1. Storing frozen foods, making ice and ice-cream. Confectionery, ready-cooked foods Foods in dishes Opened cans Milk, dairy products Fresh meat, cold cuts, sausages, etc. Fruits, vegetables, salads Cheese, butter Frozen food storage Storing ready-frozen foods is quite straightforward. The packs can be placed beside each other or on top of each other. You are strongly advised to place ready-frozen food in the compartment as quickly as possible after purchase and we therefore recommend that you buy them last. Also ensure that the external packaging is intact. Packaging which is swollen or has traces of refrozen water droplets on the pack could indicate that the product has not been kept at a suitable temperature and that it may have lost its original quality. 7 Partially thawed food must not be refrozen, it must be consumed within 24 hours. Never exceed the storage times indicated. Do not open the ice-making compartment door too often and do not leave open longer than necessary. [. . . ] Loosen the screw fixing the foot opposite the lower door holder in order to remove the foot. Fix the door holder and the corresponding foot on the opposite side and then the other loosened foot at the former place of the door holder as shown in the Figure. Please make sure to place the lower foot below the door holder. The lower foot is recognizable by its 4 ribs on the outer surface. [. . . ]
